[How To] Rooting Guide For HTC Desire C

HTC Desire C is an amazing phone and also the cheapest phone when compared to the specifications, the main features of this phone is that it runs on Android 4.o ICS operating system and 5 MP camera.

Before Rooting:

Rooting may brick your phone so be careful and follow the steps correctly. Take a backup of all your contacts, applications , private messages and all data that you required are necessary.

Rooting Guide:

  1. First Download the file SuperBoot.zip file and extract the directory.
  2. Put your device in bootloader mode – Turn off the phone then turn on by pressing volume up + volume down key to enter into bootloader.

For WINDOWS – double click ‘install-superboot-windows.bat’

For MAC – Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-mac.sh’ followed by ‘./install-superboot-mac.sh’
For LINUX – Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type ‘chmod +x install-superboot-linux.sh’ followed by ‘./install-superboot-linux.sh’

Note: Try this at your own risk. If you are using a retail device, you need to unlock your bootloader via HTCdev first!
